After travelling down a gravel road for what
seemed a long time, we came up to the entrance and parked just
behind from where this picture was taken. It almost looks like
a fortress of some kind. "Haunted house" music and
sfx could be heard coming from here. |
 |
One of the way cool skulls posted on the fence into the entrance
to Haunted Hollow. It's an okay picture at best. |
 |
SOS and Rich Wooster go
over the rundown for the evening's taping. There were 7-8 places
that were scheduled for taping, and a lot to still do. This
was shot just outside of the first locale. |
 |
SOS yucks it up with the
camera as he prepares to enter the Haunted Hollow's admission
area. On the left you can barely see the back of the skull i
took a photo of earlier. |
 |
Shooting the second bumper of the evenng, Doc
talks to some of the kids who have just come out of the maze.
Many of hte kids were surprised to find that it was REALLY Doc
and not just someone dressed up like him. |
 |
Doc getting ready
to go into the maze as they shoot the third bumper. He is holding
a small flashlight as the enitre park was darker than heck. |
 |
This is the first stop inside
of the maze. The crew shuffle down a small path and get ready
to shoot another bumper. This was a tight fit for the bumper
and we kept getting into shot on accident. Poor Willard had
to shift us back and forth. That, and the terrible smell of
animal was permeating this area for some reason... ugh! |
 |
We diuscover what
the heck the animal smell was... it was... the scarey DONKEYS!
This was what was insoide of that large "house" stand
up in the previous photo. Inside this area was "donketyboy"
who tended to these animals. Donkeyboy has been an enigma to
my wife and i for year. He is featured in the commercials for
this place, but beyond the genetic implications, just how scary
is a donkeyboy REALLY? |
 |
Doc chats with both
Donkeyboy and the actual patrons there for a scare. Unfortunately,
while i took photos of Donkeyboy, they just didn't turn out. |
 |
Doc gets a reading from
a "crystal" ball (don't look too closely or you will
notice it is a metallic bowling ball) while the crew shoots
more footage for the bumpers. Actually, of all the places in
the maze, i thought this area was the coolest in the maze. |
 |
Doc poses with the
gentleman from THE READER jsut prior to seting up for the next
bumper. I do not recall the gentleman'sname. |
 |
Doc waits while Rich prepares
the next bumper. The entire place was pretty dark, with little
"strip" lighting. |
 |
A family who watches the
show stopped by for a chat with Doc. It was good to see so many
kids recognize Doc. |
 |
Doc interviews the owner
of Haunted Hollow. |
 |
Doc continues to discuss
the haunted attraction witht he owner of Haunted Hollow. |
 |
This is the front side of the
"haunted barn". Lost of strobe lights and music was
coming out of this area. On the left side of the barn, the staff
had a huge projection system set up in order to allow patrons
to watch movies. I really liked that. |
 |
SOS sits with a wolfman
while watching a movie on the side of the haunted barn. This
was being shot for a bumper. |
 |
The staff of Haunted
Hollow set up Werewolf In A Girl's Dormitory to be shown
while the bumper was being filmed. I tell you i liked wathcing
films on the barn. |
 |
Camera guy focuses
on the sign for the bumper. |
 |
Before leaving i get my wife to shoot a photo of me and SOS together.
Unfortunately, she is unfamiliar with the camera, and the darkness
caused it to be fuzzy. |
